PURPOSE
The Professional Academic Coach of the Year award recognizes the outstanding contributions of a professional coach who fulfills the ACTP’s mission.
It honors the work of professional academic coaches who work with undergraduate students. The coach contributes to the academic success of their students and motivates them through their dedication of their work.
GENERAL INFORMATION
What does the ACTP Professional Academic Coach of the Year receive?
- A Certificate
- Recognition at the ACTP Annual Conference, including the opportunity for brief remarks at the Awards Session
- Publicized biography on the ACTP website and in ACTP Annual Conference materials
- $250 toward registration of a future ACTP Annual Conference
APPLICATION PROCEDURES/REQUIREMENTS
Please submit the following application materials by using the online submission form.
Applications should include:
1) Letter of nomination which summarizes the accomplishments and contributions of the nominee
2) One letter of endorsement by faculty and one letter from current supervisor
3) One page on why you should be awarded the ACTP Professional Academic Coach of the Year.
4) A copy of your curriculum vitae or resume
Evaluation Criteria:
1) Be an academic coach and currently employed as an academic coach.
2) Have a BS, MS, PhD, EdD
3) Show initiative and creativity while coaching within the university/college.
4) Serve as a role model for other coaches and students.
5) Go above and beyond the role of an academic coach in capacities such as community service, as well as other outstanding accomplishments related to coaching.
